A conceptual criticism of America and its involvement in the Iraq war ignoring its own problems at home. The piece includes intentional imagery through the use of shape and color to represent: the muddied and small emphasis on the area affected by Hurricane Katrina; the size of Iraq compared to those problems; the “police” or big brother to the world attitude; the tragedy of September 11th; military representation; the destruction and downfall from this whole situation and more. Mixed media on canvas. Acrylic & various paper. 2005.
